JOB SUMMARYThe Parks Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of assigned personnel including Technicians and Specialists involved in grounds and building maintenance, minor construction and similar work that takes place at designated Town locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Leads and manages assigned personnel in order to complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Plans for manpower, equipment, and material required to complete assigned tasks at their designated facility.
- Keeps the Landscape Manager abreast of all pertinent issues pertaining to employees, equipment, material, and facilities.
- Ensures assigned personnel follow safe work procedures and practices at all times; conducts employee safety training as required.
- Assigns work duties to personnel for each project.
- Recommends employee disciplinary action when required and assists the Landscape Manager in the completion of employee evaluations.
- Performs manual labor and operates departmental equipment as necessary.
- Responsible for inspecting and maintaining all Town buildings and related grounds at their designated facility.
- Sets up and cleans up for Town events
- Performs other duties as required
- High school diploma
- Four (4) years prior work experience
- Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred Commercial Driver’s License
- Preferred Pesticide License
