Job Description


Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager. Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates all aspects of building and equipment maintenance by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate technicians, as well as special projects.

This role will ensure a safe work environment for all employees, provide job assignments and assist with employee training as needed. Also, it will administer progressive discipline, if needed per general guidelines, ensure accurate and complete production records such as overtime and attendance, and communicate directly with all departments to provide department continuity of instruction and information.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safety and morale of workforce on the shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements Reliabilty Maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance staff.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
  • Work with Hi-Cone engineers to facilitate production and installation of new equipment, capital projects and plant specific projects as needed.
  • Responsible for maintenance and improvements of grounds, buildings, and building equipment.
  • Support the safety program by identifying improvements to the equipment, processes, and machinery and leading the OSHA Assessment team.
  • Set the standard for the maintenance team and the plant that safety is out number one priority and every accident is preventable.
  • Safely lead up to 8 employees engaged in maintenance activities.
  • Prepares reports and budgets for Facilities and Maintenance activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • Experience working with Allen-Bradley or Rockwell equipment.
  • Experience with working with Press equipment. Plastic extrusion experience is a plus.
  • Ability to coach, counsel, and mentor employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Forklift Certified.
