Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide organization, sanitation, and general maintenance in the assigned area of the assigned Department. Employees in this classification perform general and preventative maintenance work. Position is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of supplies in the assigned areas.

The full time night position is critical for the nightly park operations on Tuesday through Saturday 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Cypress Park consists of 69.5 acres that includes of 5 Baseball Fields, 4 Basketball Courts, 2 Concession Stands, Jog/Walk Trails, Meeting Rooms, Nature Areas, Playground, 4 Soccer Fields, Swimming Pools, and Tennis Courts. It would not be possible to maintain our acceptable levels of service without this full time maintenance worker position. The position also provides support for special events held within the park, tournaments, and special projects.

Days/Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM - 11 PM

High school diploma or GED required. Demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous experience in facilities maintenance and working knowledge of tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair work of facilities. Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
