PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs electrical / mechanical trouble shooting and repair on process equipment.

· Participates in meetings with management to discuss daily production, maintenance needs, objectives, and opportunities as needed.

· Reviews all major equipment/plant problems with management and handles related problem in a timely manner.

· Reports project status to Management.

· Ensures on time completion of projects and work.

· Ensures documentation is properly completed and submitted in a timely manner (work orders and PMs)

· Reviews PMs for completion, quality, and accuracy.

· Ability to utilize the CMMS system to properly document and plan work.

· Passes down maintenance and production needs to off shifts (overlap with team).

· Assist in the training of Sunmet employees, openly sharing knowledge and experience.

· Ensure all safety rules, processes, and standard operating procedures are being followed.

· Must have the ability to adapt and implement new policies that maintenance has developed to make the maintenance department a structed and efficient department.

· Ensures maintenance tool inventory are performed monthly, and any shortage reported to Management.

· Emphasizes on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment including training.

· Ensure to always follow company GMP Policy guidelines.

· Conducts weekly maintenance “Safety Tailgate” meetings.

· Uses independent judgement and initiative to identify and resolve problems.

· Complete a weekly inventory of consumables and parts.

· Ensure completion of the daily ammonia system checklist.

· Maintains a positive team culture focused on safety accountability, and performance.

· Maintain a high integrity and professionalism.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Valid California Drivers License

· Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance mechanic experience

· Forklift, scissor and boom lift certified a plus

· Self-motivated and ability to work without direct supervision

· Ability to work well with others

· Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

· Good communication and collaboration skills are essential

· Ability to read and comprehend English and perform basic math at a basic level

· Good organizational skills

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Strong mechanical, electrical, welding, and pluming skills.

· Production plant and equipment knowledge.

· Must be able to work all shifts

· Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Regularly required to stand and walk on normal surfaces

· Must be able to lift to 70 pounds

· Must be able to bend, kneel, and squat

· Occasionally required to drive

· Occasionally required to climb and walk on uneven and/or slippery surfaces

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
