Description


This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

The Nikaitchuq Development ENI North Slope Maintenance Electrician, Facility Electrician is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities to utility systems, buildings, and associated equipment. This position assists with the development and improvement of the facility maintenance methods and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems, buildings, and equipment as required.
  • Monitor and repair electrical system, controls, and other facility equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment.
  • Work with other trades to complete projects as needed.
  • Shoveling snow and operating snow removal equipment to maintain sidewalks and parking areas.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support ENI/Worley zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Assist with all camp facility maintenance related duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses current knowledge of Journeyman Electrician, have Physical Fitness Card and an understanding of organizational practices.
  • Possess an excellent knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Adequate written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.

  • Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

  • Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
  • Kneel 60 seconds, stand, kneel 60 seconds, stand.
  • Squat 60 seconds.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Alaska State Fitness Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of electrical preventive maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, including ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • North Slope experience.
