Job description
Serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff.
Performs patient care activities that include clinical and lab-related tasks under guidance of physician or mid-level provider.
Reports to Practice Manager for all administrative issues.
Performs data collection and obtains patient information.
Assists the Physician with patient care.
Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified.
Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process.
Demonstrates professional and personal development.
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.
Reports to: Director of Physician Services
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - - to be obtained within 30 days
Required Licenses
[West Virginia, United States] Other
Current licensure by WV State LPN Board.
