Responsibilities:

Canyon Ridge Hospital is a leading Behavioral Health Facility located in Chino California. The hospital is part of the Universal Health Services Network of Behavioral health facilities. Our Mission is, “To be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community.”

Position Summary: The LPN provides nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing Services. As a key team member in the clinical area, the LPN performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: Possess current, valid California LVN or PT license. Position requires written and oral communication skills; legible handwriting, ability to interact effectively with clinical team and other staff; organizational, problem-solving and time management skills; empathy for patients and their families; flexibility; telephone etiquette and customer service skills for phone and face-to-face contacts; skills in basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the adult psychiatric population; thorough familiarity of psychopharmacology and the use of psychotropic medications within children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. In the absence of these skills upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via organization’s orientation and training program. Must be currently CPR certified through American Heart Association only.
