Loss Prevention Officer (Security) Job Description

Pay: Starting at $18 per hour, $19 per hour for overnight

Paid Time Off/Work-Life Balance: 3 weeks accrued after 60 days of employment

Insurance: Employer pays 75% of plan costs

Full-Time Position

2-Consecutive Days Off

Shifts:

7:00 am - 3:30 pm

3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Some Swing Shifts Available

Qualifications & Operation Skills Necessary

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in:

• Passionate about safety and security with similar work experience.
• A post-secondary diploma, degree or industry-related certifications would be a plus.
• Experience in safety and security operations, a team player, detail oriented.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
• Experience in Customer Service or Security in Luxury Hotels or Luxury Residentials
• Strong Communication Skills
• Problem Solver/Conflict Resolution Mindset
• Ability to complete documentation/reports

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand

We’re currently seeking a Loss Prevention Officer at 1 Hotel South Beach to maintain the safety and security of the hotel’s guests, associates and assets. This job is all about how you react, or just as important, don’t react, in a crisis. It’s about staying a step (or five) ahead of potentially dangerous situations, identifying them and managing them with professionalism, reasonable thinking and in accordance with 1 Hotel South Beach’s policies.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about guest service, enjoys physical work and has previous similar work experience.
• A high school diploma or GED would be a plus.
• A team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
• Ability to be productive in a high-volume environment.
• Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
