Position: Transportation Associate

Job Description/Major responsibilities and duties:

• Manage and organize Transportation-related service escalations submitted by customer-facing partners via Microsoft Forms.
• Conduct simple (standardized) analytics to determine current customer experience and root cause customer’s concern (Teradata, SAP and Excel skills preferred).
• Utilize Supply Chain and/or company knowledge to identify necessary stakeholders key to solutioning (internal vs external/downstream vs upstream).
• Partner with internal and/or external partners to clearly articulate customer’s service concerns and drive resolution in a timely manner.
• Leverage strong communication skills to clearly document issues, steps taken to resolve and root cause analysis.
• Participate in weekly drumbeat.
• Responsible to manage supplier queries on the shared transportation mailbox
• Manage ServiceDesk Forms related to transportation topics on daily basis
• Work closely with the Transportation team members on regular basis
• Ability to log and tag the incomplete tasks and follow up on them until resolved
• Understanding on what issues need to get escalated
• Ability to come up with out-of-the-box solutions and run them with the logistics team
• Record the issues in the right category that helps internal teams to help fix the root cause of the issue
• Other duties as assigned to support overall Logistics Team
• Process Customer LTL returns, exceptions, no movements, over shipments, and return to senders
• Manage Freight Claim Process.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in freight payment, accounting or transportation/logistics a plus.
• Experience in PC applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required and Access a plus.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Negotiation skills to resolve day to day service problems or issues with external carriers.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Aditional job requirements

• Six months to three years Logistics, Transportation and/or Supply Chain experience
• College Degree preferred; minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to problem-solve
• Structured approach to follow-up open issues and bring them to finish line
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates a commitment to provide superior customer service internally and externally
• Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers, internal leaders and external third party providers in a professional manner in person and via the internet.
• Proficiency with required software programs including NetSuite and SAP Preferred
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Suite applications
• Professional in appearance, attitude and action.
• Problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Deerfield, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
