First Federal Savings Bank is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer! We are seeking a candidate to assist in our fast-paced mortgage processing and closing department.
This position is onsite at our corporate office in Ottawa, Illinois.

Job duties:
- Gathering and organizing the information required for a complete mortgage file.
- Evaluation of the information to determine that it meets product requirements.
- Computerized tracking of all mortgage loan files.
- Verbal, written, and face to face customer communication with regards to their mortgage file in process.
- Proper planning and organization to meet strict processing and closing deadlines.
- Preparation and delivery of loan files to outside investors or mortgage insurance companies for underwriting approval and follow up if the product requires.
- Calculation of mortgage closing figures, preparation of mortgage closing packages, and set up of the new loan on the software system.
- After closing, follow up as needed for Post-Closing, Quality Control, and customer questions.
Preferred Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Mortgage loan experience
