Licensed Funeral Director

Progressive and visionary, beautiful funeral home and cemetery, in Dothan, Alabama is seeking Licensed Funeral Directors. We are looking for creative and passionate professionals to have a positive impact on our funeral home families and community. Experience is important, but attitude matters more! We want team members who can truly help our families celebrate the lives of their loved ones in creative, personal ways. Must have active Alabama Funeral Director License or active license in a reciprocating state.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop creative ideas for unique, personalized life celebrations.
• Use excellent communication skills when meeting with families when making funeral arrangements.
• Conduct services and memorials in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Transfer, prepare and casket the deceased.
• Serve on a scheduled rotation with overnight on call.
• Work as a team to provide an exceptional level of service.
• Develop strong relationships in the community.
• Assist in facilities and grounds maintenance as needed.

About the Company

Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC is located in Dothan, Alabama, approximately one hour from beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida. Robert and Toni Byrd established Sunset in 1994 and are joined by their son, Andrew Byrd. Sunset Memorial Park has continued to excel as a market leader in offering compassionate services to the Wiregrass area residents at a reasonable cost. Sunset is Dothan’s only funeral service provider offering on-site funeral, reception center, burial and cremation services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Midland City, AL 36350: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Funeral directing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Funeral Director License (Preferred)
