We're looking to hire an organized and energetic Leasing Consultant to join our team in Washington DC at 800 Southern Ave.

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for generating and handling telephone and on-site traffic, showing 'ready' apartments, closing the lease, qualifying prospects, completing all related paperwork and activities to ensure a timely move-in as well as conducting the move-in. The Leasing Consultant provides high quality prospect and resident service. They work collaboratively with the property office and maintenance team, administering Vesta’s standard operating procedures, affordable program compliance and maintenance programs achieving maximum occupancy and superior resident customer service satisfaction.

Required Education & Experience:

• HS diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in a property management or apartment community strongly preferred.
• Experience with site based affordable housing programs strongly preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

• Multilingual skills strongly preferred and sometimes required, based on property needs
• Ability to use and communicate through email required
• Previous customer service experience
• Strong computer skills; including MS Office suite, Outlook, and property management software.
