Job description
Monsignor Slade Catholic School is currently searching for a teacher to lead our half-day 3 year old class. The half day 3s class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am to 11:30am. This position could be either part time or full time year round. If full time, the teacher would assist in other areas of the center when not teaching the half day 3s class. The right candidate will not only be qualified and experienced, but also be caring, compassionate, and have a true love for children. Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and supervise activities appropriate to the age level of the children in the classroom or group.
- Attend staff and parent meetings as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times to ensure the safety of the children in the classroom, on the playground, and on field trips.
- Maintain appropriate communication with families.
- Participate in recommended training programs, and workshops to include CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Emergency Preparedness, Orientation, and Communications.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have successfully completed 6 semester hours or 90 clock hours or their equivalent of approved preservice training or hold the Child Development Associate Credential.
- Meet all other requirements of MSDE, Office of Child Care.
