Occasionally Yours, in downtown Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, has crafted homemade breakfast and lunch since 1989. All of our menu selections are available to enjoy on site or for takeout. Our menu items are home-made and prepared on-site daily using only the freshest ingredients.

We are looking for a professional Lead Cook to prepare food to chef standards. This person will prepare and cook food for service/catering. This individual will run a 10 burner stove top during a fast paced, high energy brunch service. The successful candidate will play a key role in cooking and contributing to customer satisfaction and company success.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements and skills * Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook

• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• MUST HAVE BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
