Laundry Technician / $1,000 Sign On Bonus!*

SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for conducting all aspects of Laundry work activities in order to ensure a continuous supply of clean linen for all hospital needs. Responsible and accountable for ensuring a safe, clean, attractive environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certification (“CRC”) certificate.

Experience: Previous laundry experience preferred, however willing to train individual with initiative and desire to learn.

Other: Ability to learn and work quickly with hands using repetitive motion, maintaining a steady pace all day. Must be able to work as a member of a team in a closed environment all day. Ability to understand written and oral instructions. Entry level computer skills required.

Ability to work in a humid environment. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 pounds or more with proper body mechanics. Required to comply with hospital’s Back Lift policy at all times. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals, etc.

Work Environment
Institutional Laundry; conditions may be unpleasant at times, due to heat, humidity, noise, soiled linen, etc. Required to cross train and work in Environmental Services/Housekeeping as necessary.
