In addition to our self-serve laundromat, we provide a done-for-you laundry service, so our customers never have to worry about laundry again. As part of our service, we pick up & deliver our customers’ laundry in Yolo and Sacramento counties, requiring drivers based out of both our Woodland and Sacramentos.

Laundry Delivery Driver Job Summary

Delivery drivers pick up and deliver our laundry orders and perform other duties that are part of that function. But more than just driving a vehicle, our drivers are an important part of our team and must represent our company professionally and with the highest degree of etiquette and customer service.

Drivers start their day by reviewing that day’s pickup and delivery orders on our manifest and dedicated driver app (we provide you with a company cell phone for this purpose). Our software automatically routes stops and makes it easy to perform your function including contacting customers as needed. Out of our Woodland store, we offer delivery service to Woodland, Davis, and surrounding areas.

You’ll load clean laundry that is scheduled for delivery that day into our company-provided vehicle. Then, your route beings. About half of your stops will be deliveries and half will be pickups. You’ll update orders using our software at each stop and communicate with customers as necessary. For deliveries, you’ll either leave the laundry in a safe location or hand to the customer directly. Same with pickups – most customers leave their laundry outside of their door but some like to hand it directly to a friendly driver.

Once finished with your pickups and deliveries, you’ll return to the laundromat and offload all of the picked laundry and help intake it with our customer service attendant.

This is a part-time position and the hours will likely range between 3 and 5 per day (guarantee of 2 hours). We can be flexible in setting hours but once we set a schedule we need consistency.

Pickup and deliveries are done Monday through Saturday. We can hire one person to cover all 6 days or 2 people who split the shifts.

Driver Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver laundry orders to different customers
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Use driver app for all customer communication and route management
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Keep car clean and sanitary
• Assist other team members with the intake of laundry
• Notify management of any customer complaints
• Follow safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• Professional driving experience recommended
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to go up and down stairs
• Able to use our driver app on a provided smartphone
• Good customer service skills
• Must be good with people and work well with others with a positive attitude
• Clean, organized, and detail-oriented
• Possess a valid, California drivers license with no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the last 3 years
• Successful completion of a background check

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation starts at $17 to $19 per hour. Other benefits include paid sick leave and free machine usage for personal laundry upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period.
