Job Title: Landscape Gardener Assistant
Location: Glen Arbor, MI
Part-Time
This is a seasonal position that will begin May 1, 2023 and will end after Labor Day. It is a part-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As with any job, other duties may be assigned to you as appropriate.
- Responsible for installing, regenerating, and maintaining landscaping.
- Provide upkeep and maintain clear pathways on the property.
- Ensure that the general outdoor environment and garden areas are free and clear for all employees and customers. No tripping hazards in the right of way
- Assist the Landscape Gardener as directed in accomplishing tasks and responsibilities.
- Greet and inform guests who visit the property.
Skills You Need
- Knowledge of plants, their requirements and upkeep.
- Good communicator, organized team player and a good understanding of the culture of Cherry Republic. Follow through to ensure tasks are completed and goals are met.

Qualifications for Your Job
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Language Skills - Ability to read. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, managers, and the public.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, you should have knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to communicate accurately, timely, and thoroughly to customers and staff.
- Physical Skills- Ability to spend most of the time on feet, walking between buildings at a face pace with the ability to use power equipment, climb ladders, and move planters, picnic tables, and rocks during peak season. Ability to stand for long periods of time or sit in a stationary position when necessary, during times when business is slow. Ability to lift 50lbs if necessary. Ability to shovel snow-covered sidewalks during the winter.
