Job Summary:

• Safely and effectively operate a forklift, core shears and other hand and powered tools to perform teardown operations.
• Understand and sort recyclable metals according to composition.
• Perform plasma and torch cutting by using safe work practices and proper work methods to open equipment for further teardown.
• Work with team members to properly rig and offload equipment from trailers and relocate equipment as required.
• Other tasks as required.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding forklift signals and communication with forklift operators.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklifts, tools, and heavy machinery preferred.

This is a physically demanding position. The employee will stand for eight or more hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works inside and/or outside and is exposed to all weather elements, including: extreme heat, wind, rain, snow, and freezing temperatures. The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, climb, twist, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use fingers, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. They will use a variety of hand and power tools as well as operate heavy equipment. The employee will be exposed to noise, heavy vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
