Gastro Health is currently looking for a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our team!

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:
- Accessions patient specimens.
- Enters patient demographics, clinical history, specimen biopsy information into the laboratory information system; prints and attaches to the original requisition in preparation of case for the Pathologist.
- Be able to assist putting together cases for distribution to Pathology.
- Prints out slides and cassettes for patient specimens.
- Work with practices to resolve any discrepancies.
- Answers phones and respond to inquiries and requests from practices.
- Files slides, blocks, requisitions, pathology reports, business document, etc.
- Assist with unpacking supplies – placing them in the proper storage location and dating the appropriate items
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in medical practice or similar setting
