The Pathology Department is looking for a Full Time Laboratory Aide to join our growing team. The role is required to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and clerical duties, in a timely and efficient manner. Strong telephone and computer skills. Knowledge of Intergy would be desirable but not required. Minimum of 1 year experience preferred.

Keys to Success in this Role:

• Perform front office duties (copy insurance cards, print labels for specimens, collect monies from patients, etc)
• Perform back office duties (work internal billing charges, retrieve results, work error logs, etc)
• Maintain inventory
• Ability to utilize all computer systems
• Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Strong computer proficiency
• Strong team player
• Knowledge of Word & Excel
• Knowledge of Intergy software preferred

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Normal physical ability; able to stand for long periods
• Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Occupational Exposure:

• High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
