The Urban Tap in Shadyside is currently looking for Kitchen Managers!

This position is integral in upholding and delivering consistent, quality meals to customers on time and within budget, and maintain labor costs. Their role is to lead and work alongside the back-of-house staff including Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Dishwashers before, during and after meal service. Kitchen Managers inspect the kitchen to ensure everything is organized and sanitized appropriately, we are prepared and have everything prepped for service.

The Kitchen Manager also sources affordable suppliers and sets the price for menu items in conjunction with the restaurant’s General Manager.

This postion works an average of 52 hours a week, more during peak season/circumstances grant!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the kitchen and dining area are neat and clean at all times.
• Maintain the equipment and tools necessary to prepare food.
• Work as part of a team with other kitchen staff to prepare food and beverages.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, food preparation staff, and management to ensure efficient service.
• Prepare food items in accordance with customers' orders and preferences.
• Prepare dishes to customers' specifications.
• Portion food for food preparation staff when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
