We want to hire a part-time or full time animal care technician to care for dogs in an animal rescue environment. We are hiring for the 2pm-10pm shift. this can be a full or part time position. Understand that the time we leave is depending on everything being done, so some nights could run later.

Applicants must be comfortable working with dogs and handling all duties related to dog care, including the less fun things like cleaning kennel runs. This job is physically demanding and requires lifting, bending and walking. It can also be mentally taxing as these are rescue dogs who don't always arrive in fantastic condition.

Starting pay for those with no experience begins at $13.50 an hour to $17.00 an hour depending on experience. We do regular raises for performance and we do have paid sick leave and paid vacation time after time on the job. We are seeking hard-working, self-motivating people who have a solid work ethic and who can be part of a group of like-minded people. This is not a job for people who think they are here to pet puppies. Petting puppies is a small part of the job, but there is a lot more to this job. It is true that you do get to be a part of helping sad cases turn into happy ones. The most important qualification aside from being able to work around and with dogs is to understand that we are there for the dogs and no other reason. Attendance and punctuality matter when you have dogs to care for. We do promote from within and those with an interest in veterinary medicine are encouraged to apply.

PS If you are a ghost and don't show up when hired, puppies will be really sad. There is nothing worse than sad puppies. Don't be a ghost. We've hired sixteen people who were no shows.
