JOB SUMMARY
This position maintains financial records for the Company. Maintains the Accounts Receivable cash posting. Is responsible for analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts as part of the month end close process. Maintains the fixed assets subsidiary, depreciation, and reconciles to the general ledger. Posts journal entries as part of the month end close process for inventory reserves, prepaid expenses, and AP accruals. Provides financial status information by preparing management reports and completing special projects. Secures financial information by keeping information confidential. Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing AR cash timely and monitoring for past due invoices.
- Complete all month end responsibilities on a timely basis for the following o Accounts Receivable o General Accounting Journal Entries
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation entries including the tracking of the Capital
Expenditures.
- Manage inventory reserves
- Create month end management reports as part of the monthly close
- Develop and write procedures that are considered “Best Practices” and ensure they are followed
- Drive continuous improvement related to the accounting functions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY
- 20% Process customer payments and balance aging
- 20% Fixed Asset Management
- 10% Account Reconciliations
- 10% Month End FS Package reporting
- 10% Inventory Reserve Management
- 10% Audit Support
- 5% Accounts receivable collection management
- 5% Banking AR collateral monthly
- 5% Create and post journal entries
- 5% Manage the Month End Close for AR.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher
- 2-5 years of General Accounting
- Microsoft Dynamics / D365 F&O a plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Good written and verbal communications skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have good hearing and sight – adequate for safety programs in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing of stairs, use of computer monitor screen, talking, writing, listening.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
