Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to support projects in power systems/power distribution, communications and SCADA systems, electrical layout, conduit and duct bank designs.

What You'll Be Doing:

We need our Designers to apply the more advanced 3D CADD BIM techniques as well as providing standard 2D drawings. In this role you will develop difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge, that they meet company and industry standards and codes. Primary software for large scale projects can include Bentley Microstation Connect, Solidworks, REVIT, ETAP and a host of other design applications depending on project requirements. Applicant should be well versed in Microstation with knowledge of AutoCAD at a minimum.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to design and develop drawings utilizing a variety of CADD and Engineering software.
• Understands and utilizes more advanced software to complete assignments.
• Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to develop coordinated designs.
• Meets layout requirements and develops alternate design layouts of systems as required.
• Provides systems designs in compliance with project and CADD standards as dictated by each project.
• Checks orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
• Performs checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) .
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Electrical/Structural modeling.
• Must have strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.
• Applicant shall provide examples of past work.

Salary Range:

$28.51 - $49.90
