Job Title: Junior Mechanic
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 7:00 AM– 3:30 PM.
Pay Rate: $24-$29 hr. DOE.
Skoda Contracting is looking to hire a Junior Mechanic for our Fords, NJ. Location.
We are looking for a motivated individual to be part of our team!
His/her responsibilities include but are not limited to performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a fleet of 30+ vehicles and pieces of construction equipment.
This is a long-term position and an excellent opportunity to have a steady career.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains the company’s fleet of vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks), and other motor vehicles.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Test drives vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
