CMK Select, a specialized consulting firm dedicated exclusively to the Pharmaceutical industry is hiring a Junior Level Data Analyst / Research Analyst with very strong MS Excel skills to support our client, a global Pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will provide analysis support to our client related to root cause, data and spreadsheet data delivery to aid in managing compliance for payments to Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) and Healthcare Organizations (HCOs).

This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong Research skills and strong Data Analysis skills to break into the Pharma industry!

Our client’s business unit focuses on Regional, Local and National Pharmaceutical Conventions, Congresses and Events. 3rdparty payments have been identified as an area of risk for services across areas such as sponsorships, grants, fees for services (ie. Fair Market Value – FMV), and Ad Board activities.

A heavy level of research and investigational skills will be applied to uncover answers to questions such as: 1) are we paying a single entity? 2) is this a valid organization we are paying? 3) Is the organization reputable?

There are over 1,000 organizations that will need to go through the vetting process mentioned above. This vetting process will require conducting research/background checks on various organizations, looking at their websites & Board of Director profiles to prevent conflicts of interest, and reviewing escalated programs (this could include venues where events were held, looking up charities, confirming where payments will be sent, etc).

The Data Analyst / Research Analyst will work closely with our client’s Pharmaceutical Sampling Representatives, Line Managers and Directors to understand the programs submitted, determine why an initiative was flagged, communicate directly with associations to obtain missing information, and review letters of agreement for specific terms. The Data Analyst / Research Analyst will be the final line of defense to close the loop on everything that is being looked at to determine if our Pharma client can work with a particular organization and remain in Compliance.

These data validation activities will provide support to Pharma transparency reporting initiatives and ensure the company has a comprehensive understanding of complete company event execution activities.

Requirements of the Junior Level Data Analyst / Research Analyst:

• Proficiency in spreadsheet analysis data delivery
• Strong proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, functions)
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong data analysis experience
• Strong research skills
• Must be good with unraveling information, looking for answers, and identifying items that do not seem correct and going to the next level to find out why
• Self-starter, able to manage multiple tasks in parallel
• Bachelor’s Degree

This is a long-term project opportunity with multi-year potential and is a great way to put your education & 1-2 years of business experience to valuable and immediate use.

The position will be hybrid based, requiring 2-3 days onsite in our client's Morris County, NJ area office for key, recurring meetings.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
