SeKON in collaboration with Wilson Premier Properties (WPP), a leading real estate investment firm with a rapidly expanding portfolio that includes hospitality, multi-family, and mixed-use investments, has an opening for a Junior Financial Analyst. This position will support the CEO and CFO. This position will be 100% remote for the foreseeable but we are looking for a local candidate to Southern VA for some onsite/travel required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain individual property financial management forecasting workbooks
- Assist in the preparation of materials and presentations to lenders and/or potential investors.
- Preparation of real estate pro formas
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly property reporting packages
- Create and maintain asset management workbooks to track operations, investment performance, and cash flows
- Assist in drafting and reviewing annual operating budgets.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and complete special projects as needed.
- Assist in the underwriting process for developments and/or acquisitions, reconciliations of construction costs, and forecasting of revenues and expenses.
- Assist executives with time-sensitive projects and other duties as assigned.
- Perform in-depth competition, industry, and market research.
- Assist with and per property-level level financial models and/or underwriting related to the two acquisitions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An undergraduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or Economics.
- At least two years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably specializing in multifamily asset types.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a deep understanding of financial modeling in commercial real estate (financial analysis of current operations, budgeting, pro forma, underwriting, etc.) Advanced Excel modeling courses will be available and paid for by the company for the right candidate.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Unquestionable integrity and ethics
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to calculate and interpret various financial and investment quantitative metrics such as ROI, Levered/Unlevered IRR, XIRR, Levered/Unlevered Cash Flow, Liquidity metrics, NPV, Debt, and Equity
- Understanding of and the ability to interpret data in financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a willingness to learn, ask questions and proactively take ownership of projects and deadlines without micromanagement
- Ability to think critically, identify ways to improve performance, and create operational efficiencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must have a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience as an analyst in an investment, finance, or real estate-related role. Positions such as but not limited to; Asset Manager, Residential Appraiser, Mortgage Sales/Underwriting, Financial Analyst, and Jr Analyst. Experience with running reports in QuickBooks Online and/or Monday.com software, a plus
