Mechanical Engineer

Nikkiso Clean Energy and Industrial Gases is a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment used in the Industrial Gas, LNG, Oilfield Services and related industries. The company, headquartered in Irvine, California, has manufacturing and service locations in 13 countries around the world.

This position is based at ACD, LLC, in Santa Ana, CA, and reports to the Vice President of Product Development of the Pump Group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Model in SolidWorks Pump components and create assemblies.
• Size and select system components.
• Design components and systems within the pump product line including:
  • Skid assembly for mounting pumps and auxiliary systems
  • Lube oil systems
  • Control system electrical panels
  • Instrumentation systems
• Prepare P&ID, General Arrangement and Installation drawings.
• Prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings for Production.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, including fundamental knowledge in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Technical Degree in Mechanical Design & Drafting.
• Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, and test environment.
• High level of expertise and experience utilizing SolidWorks for 3-D modeling and 2-D detailing of components & assemblies for large, complex systems.
• Two years experience in a systems engineering and manufacturing environment, designing rotating and recirprocatin equipment.
• Proficiency is scientific computing, Finiite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Rotor Dynamics.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Requires ability to use a computer, type on keypad, and answer phones.

Salary

$55,888 to $75777 per year
