Job description
The Job Cost Administrator is responsible for the cost management of all projects. This individual must have a high attention to detail, proven analytical and problem solving skills, along with the ability to adapt to varying conditions and needs. This position will serve as a liaison between project management and accounting staff.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with all phases of job costing including but not limited to billing, cost projections, and reporting
- Assists with Job Pre-qualifications
- Audits job cost related transactions and revenue projections; reconciles quantities
- Enters job change orders, credit memos and purchase orders into system
- Collaborate with team members and customers to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Generates monthly financial reporting documents
- Works with accounting to ensure costs are posted correctly within the system
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience/Education: *
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Required Skills:
- High degree of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Self-starter, adaptable, and flexible to operate with minimal direction and/or supervision working in complex and changing environment
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion, ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to form and maintain relationships across departments
- Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning
- Proficient with Viewpoint Vista Software and MS Office programs
