Job description

The Job Cost Administrator is responsible for the cost management of all projects. This individual must have a high attention to detail, proven analytical and problem solving skills, along with the ability to adapt to varying conditions and needs. This position will serve as a liaison between project management and accounting staff.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists with all phases of job costing including but not limited to billing, cost projections, and reporting
• Assists with Job Pre-qualifications
• Audits job cost related transactions and revenue projections; reconciles quantities
• Enters job change orders, credit memos and purchase orders into system
• Collaborate with team members and customers to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Generates monthly financial reporting documents
• Works with accounting to ensure costs are posted correctly within the system
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience/Education: *

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Required Skills:

• High degree of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Self-starter, adaptable, and flexible to operate with minimal direction and/or supervision working in complex and changing environment
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion, ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to form and maintain relationships across departments
• Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning
• Proficient with Viewpoint Vista Software and MS Office programs
