Janitorial Worker

Janitorial Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building. Duties include vacuuming/mopping floors, sanitizing restroom facilities and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space.

DUTIES:

* Cleaning/mopping wood, linoleum, tile and other floors

* Shampooing rugs and carpets

* Emptying trash cans

* Changing air filters and cleaning vents

* Dusting all surfaces

* Clean all bathrooms and rest areas

* Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed

* Washing windows

* Maintaining a thorough inventory

* Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners

* Collecting and taking out trash and recycling

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* At least 18 years old.

* Previous Janitorial or Custodial work, preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Will work with moving machinery and / or mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing and moving between tight spaces.
• Will walk for extended periods of time, possibly for extended distances.
