SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Janitor for a large, well-known client in Broadview, IL. As a Janitor for SURESTAFF you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations. The Janitor cleans and sterilizes machinery, utensils, and equipment used to process or store products such as foods by performing the following duties. Must be able to perform all essential duties of a sanitarian.

Available shifts include:
3rd shift 10:00 PM.-6:00 AM

Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Janitor Duties and Responsibilities

Gather and transport trash to disposal area

*
Prepare work area by covering control panels, electronic boards and equipment motors to protect them from getting water damaged

*
Disassemble equipment and organize parts for cleaning

*
Pre-rinse all equipment with water hose to remove any excess food particles

*
Clean and sanitize the equipment, walls, floors and drains thoroughly using a foaming wand containing the appropriate cleaning compound and sanitizer

*
Rinse off work area with water hose to remove the cleaning compound

*
Inspect the processing equipment to ensure cleanliness

*
Perform all miscellaneous cleaning tasks written on “Master Cleaning Schedule” as directed by the Sanitation Foreman

*
Assist Quality Control tech with pre-Operational inspection and be available to clean equipment again if made necessary

*
Help organize equipment for production by moving the portables to designated areas

*
Keep individual cart and equipment (including p.p.e.) in good working order

*
Notify the Sanitation Foreman or Supervisor of any needs for repairs, maintenance, or safety concerns

*
Follow all safety policies and procedures

*
Complete miscellaneous tasks as directed

*
Maintain regular and acceptable attendance

Janitor Requirements and Qualifications

*
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

*
Some professional work experience as a Janitor or a similar role a plus

*
Working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances and how to maintain them

*
Understanding of safety protocols such as disposal of chemicals and other hazardous items

*
Detail-oriented and conscientiousness

*
Able to work 8 hours on your feet and lift up to 30 lbs

*
Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions

*
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

*
Ability to be held accountable for one’s conduct

*
Ability to be truthful and be credible in the workplace
