Inventory Supervisor - Louisville, Kentucky

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the inventory function for the warehouse facility. Direct supervisor over inventory clerks and coordinators.


Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday - Friday
  • 4/5:00am start - Finish
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed

Position Responsibilities:

  • Submit request for materials, prepare purchase orders, track purchases and supplies
  • Schedule incoming and outgoing shipments both intercompany and external suppliers
  • Work with operations team to review inventory strategies for maximum efficiencies
  • Manage damage and returned product
  • Monitor Inventory expiration dates for obsolesce avoidance and provide corrective action.
  • Monitor completeness, accuracy, and compliance during inventory transactions.
  • Oversee purchase orders, data entry, and shipping and receiving of materials
  • Lead and supervise inventory team, resolving problems, conducting training and setting schedules.
  • Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues
  • Report on inventory activities and variances
  • Conduct and report on inventory cycle counts
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices

Requirements:
  • 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse/distribution center operations preferred
  • 2 years of experience in inventory control
  • 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 2 years of experience using SAP or a similar system
