Inventory Planner β Specialized Retail
JOB SUMMARY
This role will work within the systems established in the USA sales operations business for Specialized but will be a member of the USA Retail LLC; visits to retail and weekly meetings will be required to incorporate feedback from managers and employees in stores to replenish the product range. The Inventory Planner will use established merchandising practices and analytics to build a range plan by store segment, setting reorder points for core inventory, and managing the days on hand to targeted levels. This position may be remote.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Responsible for submitting store stocking and special orders for SBC, and other vendors.
- Create a replenishment plan, managing assigned categories to weeks of supply and Open-to-buy goals, this includes,
- Creating Oracle/B2B/POS orders/purchase orders, managing status of back-orders, finding alternative solutions to gaps and gain store feedback, and collaborate with Merchandising Planning, Forecast Planning, retail managers, and store teams to provide feedback on range and replenishment levels.
- Review trends and focus on well performing products that are tracked and stratified.
- Measure and drive qualitative and quantitative progress against identified action items i.e. Rider Availability (in-stock levels)
- Plan for new product launches and coordinate with the Merchandise Planner on upcoming launches to ensure inventory is on-hand.
- Work with the Retail Leadership team to refine the systems and increase efficiencies to scale program within the USA.
- Adhere to OTB spend while achieving planned turnover and revenue growth in their assigned category.
- Optimize the automated replenishment system parameters based on rate of sales, lead times, and order frequency to ensure meeting our inventory levels, in stock and store sales goals.
- Analyze excess inventory; create and monitor action plans to minimize inventory liability.
- Communicate with store teams and respond to individual store issues as needed.
- Act as a single point of contact for a small group of stores to assist in their connection with the remainder of the merchandising organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- Obsessive attention to detail and an internal drive for accuracy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and highly flexible with the ability to work creatively, under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong business insight and curiosity about the cycling industry and our brand3+ years in similar field of work
- Advanced level of knowledge using excel and software to manage data and inventory orders
- Working knowledge of Lightspeed POS is preferred.
- Experience working with Open-to-buy is preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Multi-location retail experience.
