The Internal Communications Specialist will work as part of the Communications and Marketing Team and will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's overall internal communications strategy, which reflects our values and culture. The aim of this work is to use communication to help create an inclusive environment of shared understanding, making colleagues feel informed, valued and connected with the work of the organization and its mission. Position works in collaboration with the Vice President of Human Resources and designees to collaborate and distribute messaging, prepare presentations, create internal memos, print and electronic materials, and develop branding strategies and other forms of communication for Augusta Health team members.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in healthcare or other complex environment required.

5 years’ experience preferred.

• Ability to translate the hospital’s mission, strategic aims, and programs, into persuasive communications materials.
• Highly positive mindset having demonstrated flexibility, resilience and willingness to explore different paths to communicate and adjust quickly, efficiently and positively to feedback of all types and changes.
• Proven ability to work with organizational leaders to synthesize information and convey simplify strategic and complex messages.
