BILINGUAL INTAKE/DATA SPECIALIST

Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy helping people? We currently seek an Intake/Data Specialist for the Cancer Services Program (CSP) of the Hudson Valley. This position is full-time with benefits.

The Cancer Services Program (CSP) provides free breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screenings for individuals who are uninsured and under insured. The Intake/Data Specialist is responsible for determining eligibility and enrolling clients for cancer screening services. This position will work with participating providers to make appropriate cancer screening appointments and will complete and generate appropriate CSP forms for providers. The Intake/Data Specialist will communicate CSP information to the local CSP Care Coordinator, to ensure follow-up of abnormal screenings. Additionally, the Intake/Data Specialist is responsible for entering client information and screening results into a database.

Qualified candidates will:

• Have two years of college education or a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or human services related field (preferred) OR a minimum of a high school diploma and two years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare or human services environment
• Speak Spanish and English fluently – REQUIRED
• Be familiar with medical terminology and possess a working knowledge of HIPAA regulations, preferred
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Possess a working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - REQUIRED
• Be a problem solver who is able to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,699 per year
