The Installation Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a team of upfitters who install products on a wide range of public safety and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer skills, have a strong desire to build an inclusive team and be capable of managing multiple priorities on tight timelines.

Essential Duties:

• Manage a team of 8-12 people, along with building and managing our customer base
• Establish priorities on a daily basis among working with the team to ensure that upfits are completed as promised to the customer
• Prepare accurate quotes in QuickBooks and will source/order specialty product for builds
• Actively seek to build or acquire new knowledge in order to improve and develop skills for self and for the team
• Determine and address the customer’s needs, problems, complaints, requests, questions and deadlines in a business-like manner
• Provide the training, guidance and counseling necessary for individual team members
• Work with the team to problem solve opportunities on a build and to create efficiencies in all aspects of completing a build
• Actively listen and communicate respectfully and effectively. Presents information in an engaging and understandable manner
• Assume personal responsibility for all aspects of work: quality, timeliness and results; seeking to complete tasks with little oversight
• Represent the company at various conferences located throughout the state and country
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Two to four years of management experience, preferably in an auto/tech environment, is strongly suggested
• Public safety knowledge is a plus. Two to four years of experience with automotive, wiring and/or installation is required
• Able to communicate well with customers & team members across all divisions of the business
• Promote a team driven culture
• Strong customer service skills, ability to problem solve independently, be professional, and the ability to bring ideas/solutions to the table is required
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Must be detail oriented, reliable, have strong work ethic, and have excellent time management skills
• Able to operate in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but not required
• Able to fabricate items, if needed
• Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willing to travel, with some overnight stays
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test and background check is required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
