Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position will be overseeing all HS-EBIT infrastructure and the State Hospital’s IT services.
This move allows HS-EBIT to provide additional leadership to HS-EBIT infrastructure team while providing more oversight to the State Hospital’s IT services. Aligning the State Hospital’s IT services with existing HS-EBIT processes will be key to measuring and improving those services.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Managing customer expectations and Infrastructure SLAs to maximize customer satisfaction, including a central communication point of contact for incidents, software/hardware approvals, and configuration compliance. Builds stakeholder relationships with IT and business leaders and provides a consultative approach to working with users in assessing needs and requirements.
Manage 24/7 infrastructure operations for HS-EBIT. Conduct practical resource planning to maximize the productivity of resources (people, technology, etc.). Organize technician scheduling, including after-hours support and on-call schedules. Act as an escalation point for after-hours and on-call issues. Manage outgoing infrastructure communications. Supervise HS-EBIT's infrastructure functions and provide direction and project schedules for these functions. These functions include proactive preparation for disaster recovery, audits, and security of the various infrastructure technical platforms. The position oversees the administration and documentation of important infrastructure policies, procedures, processes, and operations. Ensure that IT asset inventories are maintained, and records are up to date.
Responsibilities include managing and evaluating infrastructure staff effectiveness, identifying training and education needed for infrastructure staff, and setting performance, support, and staff development goals through regular coaching meetings, training, needs analysis, development plans, and appraisals.
Implements and supports the TS Director's goals/visions for the Technical Services department of HS-EBIT by collaborating with the design and implementation of HS-EBIT services, policies, procedures, and processes.
Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring the agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Assists other employees in the work unit in accomplishing assignments as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years’ experience in a distributed computing environment or in information systems and analysis.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 5 years’ experience in information systems and analysis.
AND
Must be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
