GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Implementation Specialist will serve as a resource to ReportingMD regarding SQL design
specifications, SQL data logic, documentation, and SQL testing. Duties include performing analytical,
SQL coding and software development for ReportingMD and their clients. The SQL Developer should
have an understanding of SQL, T-SQL, and XML tool sets.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned).
- Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable SQL Scripts and database designs.
- Effectively write SQL stored procedures and scripts.
- Perform data analysis, data querying and data validation functions.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies and bugs in scripts and database designs; devise solutions to these
- Design data solutions to include reports and tabular data based on requirements.
- Write SSIS packages.
- Optimize and tune data queries and jobs to meet best practices and scalable architecture.
- Resolve run time bugs, error message, maintain/fix SSIS packages.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Current student or recent graduate with degree or certificates directly related to computer science
technology with an emphasis on SQL and database design/development.
Individual must be extremely organized, have the ability to multitask and prioritize, communicate well
within all levels of the organization, and be proficient in the technical skills defined above, with an
understanding of physician practice management systems and electronic medical record applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of IT systems, data analysis tools and technologies (SQL Server, MS Office, T-SQL, XML)
- Experience modeling relational databases (Oracle, Access, SQL, etc.)
- Strong quantitative, analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new technologies via self-directed study.
- Ability to apply mathematical and statistical techniques and principles into the analysis of health
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and technical staff
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements, including EDI, privacy and security regulations
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye – hand coordination
and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other
office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eye sight to record, prepare and
communicate appropriate reports. Lifting of equipment not to exceed 20 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
