Role and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel and natural gas engines, generators, controls, automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, and fuel supply systems.

• Accountable for ACS (Air Compressor Solutions) technical instructions, safety and service manuals.
• You will be responsible for interpreting electric and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
• Create, track, and formalize work order documents on our customer service report software systems.
• Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
• Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.
• Maintains manufacturing records and process documentation, including program-specific manufacturing records, process instructions, and identifying changes to engineering prints.
• Meet with management, both formally and informally, to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Use of hands/fingers or feel during normal job requirements.
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while working on equipment.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.)
• Hook up trailers to a vehicle and be comfortable driving with equipment attached.
• Be certified in safe operation of lift trucks
• Be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
• Required to work in areas of extreme temperatures due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
• Ability to climb various equipment and ladders, lift and carry equipment, tools and components weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators. 3-5 years’ experience with compressors and generators preferred.

• Technical schooling, automotive or transportation fields, commercial, residential electric and or like military experience a plus. 3-5 years’ experience in an I&E role

• Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Knowledge of on-line technical manuals and use of computer-based job tracking software.
• Must complete IR Basic Rotary, Desiccant Dryer, Oil-Free certifications
