Job Description:

  • Establish and implement the HR efforts to effectively communicate, support and drive the company’s strategic plan
  • Oversee talent strategy including recruiting efforts, internal talent development/training and career progression
  • Maintain benefits and ensure Sigora’s compensation and benefits offering is competitive and as cost effective as possible
  • Manage key HR functions throughout the year, to include open enrollment, performance reviews, goal setting and other tools to drive employee engagement.
  • Coach and mediate employee relations and performance issues and provide advice to leadership on performance management including terminations when necessary.
  • Work closely with legal and benefits advisors to ensure legal compliance within the HR and Benefits functions throughout the country
  • Lead the HR team along as needed
  • Ensure the Sigora culture is embraced and felt by all employees, including remote employees and companies acquired by Sigora through acquisition.
  • Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate payroll throughout the life cycle of each employee, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Stay abreast of developments in all areas of Talent, including state specific laws, government regulations, OSHA compliance, and benefits legal requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent practices throughout the company.
  • Ensure a commitment to building a diverse and engaged workforce throughout the company.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, which result in a legally compliant resolution.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, succession planning, disciplinary actions).
  • Focuses on employee engagement through creative and fun experiences that ensure employee interest and participation
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management; merit and bonus awards; benefits enrollment; 90 day and annual reviews; etc.
  • Suggest and develop new HR processes to help support Sigora’s primary business objectives
  • Subject matter expert on HRIS platform to field questions, deploy training and ensure all end users are comfortable with the system
  • Suggest new HR strategies
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources preferred
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is preferred
  • Experience managing a Human Resources Staff
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment
