Blickman Industries has provided the healthcare industry with high quality stainless steel medical equipment since 1889. We're expanding to Lawrenceburg, TN and are looking for a strong Human Resources and Safety Manager to staff and assist in setting the tone for our new location.
We're looking for an involved HR leader to staff our new facility as well as take on some projects to ensure the opening is successful. This person will take on a variety of Human Resources and Safety duties.
An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison and main contact to applicants and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll assist in creating policies, processes and documents. We're looking for someone with excellent organization ability, familiarity with HR laws and policies and strong communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
· Respond to and resolve employee issues or requests.
· Provide support to other departments as needed
· Conduct employee relations activities, such as New Employee Orientations, monthly rallies, special events, policy implementation, and employee celebrations etc.
· Process New Hires by conducting all data entry and file maintenance.
· Process claims for Unemployment Insurance, reference checks, and other inquiries from state or federal agencies.
- Give guidance as needed regarding fair practices
Payroll:
· Process payroll in accordance with payroll schedule.
· Resolve payroll issues with staff and supervisors.
· Process and distribute appropriate payroll, attendance, and labor distribution reports.
Benefits:
· Provide all eligible employees with enrollment packets.
· Process all benefit enrollment information timely so the employee begins coverage upon effective start date.
· Answer questions for employees regarding benefit plans and employee claims.
· Resolve customer service issues with service providers and employees.
· Administer FMLA process.
Safety/ Worker’s Compensation:
· Process Occupational Injury and Claims forms for all occupational injuries and illnesses.
· Conduct or assist with accident investigations.
· Maintain all WC files
· Work with supervisors on medical management issues, such as work restrictions and modified duty.
· Identify and implement measures to prevent further injuries.
· Lead the Safety initiatives and push for zero accidents through process evaluation and change
· Maintain OSHA log
Recruiting:
· Conduct recruiting for all staff
· Assist interview scheduling and logistics and training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
