The Job:

As a Human Resource Generalist, you'll be part of our Tools and Storage Global Operations HR team working as an on-site employee. The HR Generalist will focus on the areas of employee relations, engagement and recognition, safety, new hire orientation/onboarding, and employee communications. This position requires a high level of employee focus, strong communication skills (written and oral), ability to multitask with little or no error, self-initiative, organizational ability, report generation and commitment to confidentiality. You'll get to:

• Employee Relations:
  • Lead recruitment efforts, orientation, and onboarding
  • Assist with promotions, job transfers, disciplinary actions, terminations, and resignations (Workday)
  • Facilitate employee issue resolution, manage investigations
  • Manage/facilitate employee recognition/awards/events
  • Facilitate training
  • Review time and attendance for all hourly employees within the Kronos system
• Employee Communications:
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly line meetings, management meetings, employee focus groups, and other necessary communications
  • Assist in executing corporate initiatives/rollouts as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned

The Person:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a related field preferred. Associate degree with a minimum of three years related/HR experience required
• PHR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, USERRA, HIPAA, ADA, OSHA etc.
• Basic knowledge of employment law
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS PowerPoint and Workday
• Strong sense of urgency, initiative, integrity, and professional demeanor
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in his/her work
• Strong ability to multi-task yet focuses on accuracy with a "get it done right the first time" attitude
• Ability to work, contribute and succeed in a team environment
• Must be able to work in office and factory environment
