Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including, but not limited to, the following: onboarding and offboarding processes, new hire orientation, conducting audits and metrics reports, communicating, and enforcing company policies and practices. This individual will be trained on how to handle routine HR matters and questions for employees, assuring that databases, records, and information systems are accurate and updated regularly. This individual must be professional as they will be handling confidential and extremely sensitive/time sensitive information.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees. Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Conduct HR audits and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve workflow efficiency. Assists in decisions aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage HRIS database, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.
  • Collaborates with HR manager in researching HR initiatives
  • Perform exit interviews and finalize termination for all markets. Analyze trends.
  • Handles inquiries from employees regarding general HR questions, department specific issues, benefits, and payroll by referring to and interpreting policy and procedures.
  • Prepares information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends, turnover ratio, RIF and staffing report as per request.
  • Lead and facilitate new hire orientation for all markets. Process E- Verify and ensure compliance. Monitor worker’s compensation claims.
  • Assist with the implementation of HR tools as survey, performance management, tracking system and onboarding through Paycom.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • Master preferred
  • 2 years Human Resources experience
  • Experience with HR policies and procedure preferred
  • HR Certification Preferred
