Job description
Supports the reception area of the Administrative Services Building, providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors of Human Resources, Payroll and Surplus. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Customer Support and Liaising: Welcomes guests and fosters a positive environment by answering questions, checking-in guests for appointments, and notifying staff of appointments. Serves as liaison coordinating assistance between ASB staff and employees, students, and guests. Monitors phone calls, provides information and routes calls as needed.
30% - Essential - Administrative Support: Assists with distribution of paper checks, service pins and certificates. Collects and receipts monies, completes forms and special projects. Assists disbursement staff by distributing departmental vendor checks. Manages incoming and outgoing mail. Sorts and delivers all incoming mail to responsible HR staff, teams, and other ASB departmental units.
Processes employment verifications (that do not require researching personnel files) from external and internal sources and updates the central log when complete. Assists HR Service Representatives with completing I-9 forms; maintains a log of calls, walk-ins, etc for the front desk by service type.
15% - Essential - Scheduling and Safety: Coordinates use of conference rooms and schedules meetings for Clemson employees and external visitors through online scheduling system as requested. Analyzes and evaluates difficult situations using discernment for appropriate action to maintain a safe environment. Maintains the professional appearance of the front lobby area and ensures security protocols are followed.
5% - Essential - Financials:
Orders supplies using BuyWays. Ensures appropriate account string is used for specific HR units. Enters invoices to pay and items to purchase into BuyWays. Enters requisitions for payment, invoice and receipt against original invoice on correct payment form.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Bachelor's Degree
1 or more years of directly related work experience.
