Job Description:

  • The Human Resource Manager for this Beverage/Food Manufacturing Facility will provide onsite Human Resource support to facility management in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • This position is responsible for recruitment, processing payroll, employee training, scheduling, safety program compliance, maintaining employee records, workers compensation and benefits program administration.
  • Partners with plant management in determining staffing, maintains staffing matrix, facility organizational chart, and corresponding job descriptions
  • Ensures the maintenance of HRIS records reviewing their input is completed timely and correctly entered for the following modules: time keeping system, employee performance, basic employee file, and employee benefits
  • Responsible for recruiting qualified applicants, completing initial interviews, scheduling department interviews, preemployment testing, conducting background checks, and processing new hire paperwork
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved time sheets for hourly employees; input and track garnishment orders, benefit deductions, and any other special payroll deductions.
  • Administration of employee benefit programs; medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and vacation accruals
  • Inputs employee schedules and maintains time off requests and attendance
  • Oversees employee training and safety programs ensuring compliance is maintained
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Maintains relationships with staffing agencies, processing timecards, reviewing billing, and coordinating temporary employee schedules and assignments
  • Maintains historical human resource records ensuring compliance is maintained for local, state, and federal regulatory authorities
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; providing input on written responses or hearings on behalf of the company
  • Assists in conducting employee investigations, providing conflict resolutions, and issuing coaching and counseling notices
  • Works as a team with management when determining the best responses to employee relations issues
  • Implement, and maintain employee recognition programs and events fostering increased retention rates, employee morale and overall job satisfaction
  • Oversee workers compensation benefit program, completes accident investigations, and implements corrective actions
  • Provide office administration support, answering phones, greeting guests, running office errands, supply orders, scheduling meetings
  • Regular presence on the production floor and interactions with employees; keeping a pulse on employee happiness and company success
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources preferred
  • 2 years of experience in managing projects and or people
  • 2 years of prior workplace administration of a comprehensive safety program
  • Must have prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial workplace
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment while making decisions quickly Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
  • Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
