Position Description:

You will report to the Supervisor, Employee Relations, and work a hybrid schedule with some days being in the office and some working remotely. You will be responsible for answering phone calls and emails regarding various questions related to employment, benefits, development training, and short-term disability. You will need to have strong customer service experience and the ability to communicate both verbally and written effectively.
What You Will Do
Perform entry-level activities for a variety of human resource programs and activities.
Help with the daily administration of multiple human resources responsibilities including (as specified by position):
Employment
Benefits
Personnel research/statistics
Government reports
Special projects
Short term disability
Developmental training
Labor Relations
Provide information relative to human resource policies and programs to employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, industry peers, and others. Be a first line contact for general HR questions.
Prepare, process, and verify information and reports including (as specified by position):
ONE Resource reports
Government reports
Employment documentation
Benefits documentation
Correspondence
Research statistics
Learning and development guides and catalogs
Test/evaluation documentation
Employee documentation
Help with special projects to provide support for division.
Help with the facilitation and conducting of workshops and training sessions related to employee and management development.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be asked to perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need
Associate degree in human resources or related field with previous experience working with a variety of human resource functions.
OR
equivalent formal education to include a combination of courses such as speech, algebra, statistics, personnel management, organization development, or business communication PLUS the following job-related experience:
Knowledge of human resources policies and programs.
Working knowledge of applicable functions including employment, compensation, payroll, and benefit administration.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including using microcomputer applications such as Excel (can perform complex functions) , Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of application of math, algebra, and basic statistics.
Working knowledge and training related to:
Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and report writer applications
Governmental regulations
Corporate organization structure
Development training programs
Read and interpret policies, reports, governmental regulations, benefits information, training materials, employment documents, procedures, and correspondence.
Conduct research, and prepare information and reports including numerical data, procedures, and correspondence.
Interact and collaborate.
Create presentations and present to groups and individuals.
Read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to offices and job sites throughout system.
Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings.
Communicate and exchange information verbally.
Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
