Located at the SEE-Liquibox location in Lester Prarie, MN and reporting to the Regional Director, HR, this Human Resources Generalist role is the primary HR representative and employee relations contact at the production facility. Key responsibilities include, administration of policies and benefits, workers compensation, leave management, investigations, employee engagement, and talent management. This position will partner with Plant Management and Human Resources leadership to provide consultation and support on HR initiatives in the areas of employee relations, administration, performance management, and legal compliance.
Work Schedule: To provide HR support for all shifts of a 24/7 operation, the work schedule will consist of one standard day (8:00am - 5:00pm), two early days (typically 6:00am - 3:00pm or 5:00am - 2:00pm), and two late days per week (typically 10:00am - 7:00pm, or 11:00am - 8:00pm) Monday - Friday, with rare weekend work being necessary.
Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partnering with HR team to assist with identifying opportunities for the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures to improve performance and productivity of plant employees as well as company-wide HR initiatives.
Identifying and evaluating opportunities to enhance employee development and retention at the plant.
Coaching plant managers on performance management issues, document performance actions and improvement plans.
Ensuring plant manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures and act as the subject matter expert on compliance with regards to state specific employment laws and regulations.
Responding to employee questions related to benefits, employee relations, company policies and other issues.
Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (Business Administration, etc) preferred.
At least 2 years in Human Resources role prior experience in manufacturing, SHRM- CP preferred.
Outstanding communication skills, interpersonal skills coupled with negotiation and conflict resolution, capable of acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, ability to multitask, excellent time-management and organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office products.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
