Job description
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is accepting applications for an HR Generalist with HRIS experience. The HR Generalist will report to the Employment Manager in support of HR business systems and recruiting.
Recruitment & Employment
The HR Generalist will perform daily activities that support recruitment efforts, including but not limited to:
· The new hire process from application to hire including interviews, employment testing, and onboarding
· Support of training endeavors, company events, job fairs, and ad hoc projects as needed
HRIS and Business systems
The HR Generalist will perform duties to support the Employment Team’s HRIS operations including but not limited to:
· Creating/editing the online business processes including job requisitions, job postings, and employee self-serve HR actions
· User testing of quarterly software updates
· Auditing systems for HR data integrity
· Designing/troubleshooting reports, dashboards, workflows
· Updating/creating forms, checklists, communication templates, job requisition templates, job posting templates
· Responding to system and workflow issues and user questions
· Collecting and analyzing data to prepare metrics related to HR activities
· Assisting in creation and editing of HRIS process user guides
· Participation in and project support for committees/project teams analyzing HRIS systems
· Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting, and tasks as required with cross-functional HR and Company partner teams.
Ideal Candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- BS degree in Human Resources or related business/liberal arts concentration
- 2 years of HR Systems experience
- Strong knowledge of Recruitment and Onboarding processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high level of discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders
- A customer-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Kronos and PeopleSoft preferred.
- Valid NJ Driver’s License
