Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator provides the best possible administrative and technical assistance in support of the human resources function, and the best possible administrative support to the management team, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Coordinate the employment process, to include scheduling interviews, physicals, drug tests and orientation, assisting in conducting new employee orientation, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all required new employee paperwork and its entry into the computerized system.
- Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.
- Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
- Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
- Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
- Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.
- Performs reference and background checks on applicants.
- Coordinates communications with applicants.
- Monitors orientation period for new employees. Ensure new employees complete all benefit paperwork accurately and follow-up on late paperwork. Provide to the HR Manager for processing all completed paperwork according to procedures.
- Prepare job postings, letters, memos, correspondence, reports, etc., for the department, department managers and Executive Team as needed. Schedule meetings, notifying attendees, and coordinating locations.
- Act as the technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems related to the human resources function.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Requires an Associate’s Degree and one to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
