Responsibilities
This position is ideal for an expcerienced HR Business Partner whose has worked in an environment with multiple collective bargaining agreements, has been successful in finding win-win solutions and is seen as balanced between the needs of employees and the needs of the organization.
Conducts investigations, face- to- face and/or over the phone counseling, coaching and policy interpretation with employees and managers; conducts focus groups as appropriate to obtain more insight on a topic or matter from employees and leaders. Serves as an employee advocate as appropriate and focuses on achieving win-win outcomes. Serves as an organizational development consultant in the areas of workforce planning, team performance, talent management and development, employee engagement and organizational change. Teaches/coaches management on how to prepare documentation and communicate corrective actions, discipline and termination decisions effectively. Maintains factual documentation on all activities and decisions. Elevates and informs HR leadership of pending employment or employment related compliance risk issues that may impact departments, one or more groups of employees and the organization as a whole. Prepares various tracking and reporting documents related to employee relation actions as required. Incorporates data analysis into consulting services as appropriate. Actively supports DEI within the organization. Supports Leadership Development through serving as a trainer.
This position reports into the HR Director for the Hospital.

Qualifications
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Employee and labor relations experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws on the federal, state and local level as well as collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong investigative experience
- Experience managing up in an organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong attention to detail to include strong documentation skills
- Experience conducting focus groups, summarizing findings and making recommendations
- Experience presenting in front of groups.
- Experience conducting training.
